NEXT DISNEY ADVENTURE!

I've mentioned before, but I'll say it again - having experiences and making memories is so important to my husband and I. It's non-negotiable in our life, which is why taking vacations is so important. We've been lucky enough to travel to some pretty great places and have some pretty awesome trips! So next April is going to be one for the books!

For two weeks next April, we are going to be going on, what I like to call, our "Disney Extravaganza!" We are going to be DRIVING for Florida because we have a ton of Disney we'll be hitting along the way. On the way down, we'll be staying a night at Disney's Vero Beach Resort. Then we'll be heading to Miami to go on a four-day cruise on Disney Cruise Line's "Magic" ship, that will make two stops in the Caribbean, at the Bahamas and at Disney's private island, Castaway Cay. After our cruise, we're driving to Orlando to spend five days at Walt Disney World, at the Pop Century resort. We're going to do four park days at Disney, including Animal Kingdom to see the new Avatar Land stuff, one day at Magic Kingdom, and two days at Epcot for Flower and Garden Festival. We're also taking a day to go to Universal Studios because we haven't been in many years and we're anxious to see all the Harry Potter stuff! Finally, on our way home, we'll be stopping for a night at Disney's Hilton Head resort!

On our last Disney vacation, we realized how hard doing the parks for so many days is going to be now, because of the medication hubby is on for his Crohn's Disease, as well as having a prosthetic leg. We also decided that *maybe* it was time to have new Disney experiences instead of going to Walt Disney World over and over. ;P Disney has so many things to offer all around the world, so this is just the start! Husband has never done a cruise before (I did one years ago on the Royal Caribbean line), so he's pretty pumped to experience it. Plus he's never been out of the country, except for Canada. We decided to drive because after I had crunched the numbers, we realized we would save more money and get a longer vacation than if we flew. Plus, we'll be able to take my husband's crutches and wheelchairs, which will help immensely compared to previous trips when we couldn't bring them.

We're not beach-vacation type people, so hitting the two Disney beach resorts on our way down and up for a night will mark them off our list! We are taking a shorter cruise, too, since hubby has never taken one before. The one that I had taken was seven days, and by the end of it, I was finished with being on the ship, so I am hoping a shorter one will help my husband not get that fatigue! And, as always, we can't be in Florida without going to the Disney parks. It's just a must-do.

I can't even put into words how excited we are about this! It'll be fun to do such a diverse vacation and have so many new experiences. I can't wait to keep checking things off our Disney/travel bucket list! <3
